The combined fortune of South Korea's 50 wealthiest people has declined due to unfavorable economic factors, including the U.S.-China trade war and the slumping semiconductor industry.
According to Forbes' 2019 list of South Korea's 50 richest,… 37 members saw their net worth take a hit compared to last year.
This dragged down their combined net worth by 17 percent to 1-hundred-10 billion U.S. dollars, compared to 1-hundred-32 billion in 2018.
Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Kun-hee is still the wealthiest man in the country with 16.eight billion U.S. dollars,… down nearly four billion dollars compared to last year.
He was followed by Celltrion's Seo Jung-jin.
Nexon's Kim Jung-ju, Samsung's Lee Jae-yong and Hyundai Motor Group's Chung Mong-koo rounded out the top five.
