24.6% of workers in S. Korea either self-employed or work unpaid for family business

Data show people who are self-employed or work for their family without pay make up around 25 percent of South Korea's entire workforce.
According to the OECD and Statistics Korea, as of 2019, those workers account for around 6.7 million people.
Out of the 35 countries in the OECD, that ratio was the eighth highest.
The highest ratio was in Colombia at around 50 percent, follwed by Brazil and Greece.
