A record number of ships are waiting to enter two of California's busiest ports due to labor shortages that have created a giant bottleneck in the global supply chain.
According to the Marine Exchange on Tuesday, 157 ships are waiting at ports in LA and Long Beach, with 100 ships at anchor and 57 at berth.
This is happening comes despite President Biden's recent order for the ports to shift to round-the-clock operations.
The Port of Savannah also has over 20 ships waiting off the coast of Georgia.
