OVER in Washington U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has been holding talks about North Korea's and Iran's nuclear ambitions with the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency RA-FA-EL Grossi.
Voicing support for the agency's monitoring activity Blinken claimed that he and his counterpart had much to cover.
"it plays a critical role in helping to forge cooperation on the peaceful uses of nuclear power. So there is a lot to talk about today. Needless to say, Iran is a big part of the focus."
The Biden administration is hoping Iran will REJOIN the 2015 nuclear deal that Tehran left soon after the Trump administration pulled out in 2018.
Talks between Blinken and Grossi follow the agency's report back in August that claimed North Korea had resumed operations at its main nuclear facility.
