Updated: 2022-05-22 17:46:41 KST
The World Economic Forum is convening in Davos, Switzerland from today until this coming Thursday in person for the first time in two years because of the pandemic.
Nearly 25-hundred leaders in politics, business and civil society will be taking part, looking at ways to address global issues, including the pandemic, the war in Ukraine and climate change.
The theme this year is "History at a Turning Point."
South Korea's President Yoon is sending a special delegation to Davos led by former lawmaker Na Kyung-won.
Last year's forum, held online, was addressed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
But the Russian delegates have been excluded this time, and the forum this year will instead get a video address from Ukrainian President Volodymy Zelenskyy.
