The Korea Consumer Agency has urged for caution when making overseas purchases ahead of Black Friday, the largest shopping event in the U.S.
According to the agency, there were a total of roughly 35-thousand consumer complaints related to direct overseas purchases in the last 3 years.
Six,six-hundred, or roughly 19 percent of them, were filed in the months of November and December.
The agency emphasizes that consumers should not rush into purchasing decisions and if a seller cannot be contacted, or if delivery status cannot be confirmed after payment, the issue needs to be addressed promptly.
