South Korean Olympic swimming sensation Hwang Sun-woo has decided to skip college and go straight to the pros.
Still a high school senior, the eighteen-year-old will soon be representing Gangwon-do Province in preparation for the Fukuoka World Aquatics Championships and Hangzhou Asian Games next year.
Hwang burst onto the global stage during this summer's Tokyo Olympics, where he shattered the Asian record for the 100-meter freestyle and the world junior record in the 200-meter freestyle.
His next competition comes in just two weeks at a national swim meet on Jeju Island starting on the twenty first.
