NATIONAL HANBOK DAY
Since 1997, South Korea has been celebrating National Hanbok Day every October 21st to promote the industrial and cultural value of the traditional outfit.
Hanbok has been worn since ancient times and has evolved throughout the history of Korea, to become a distinctive element that represents it worldwide.
The hanbok basically consists of the chima skirt and the jeogori jacket for women and the baji and jeogori pants for men.
From the era of the Three Kingdoms, hanbok saw distinctive changes such as in fabrics, colors and accessories to align with the nation's historic footsteps.
