South Korea's largest carrier, Korean Air, is resuming flights to Hawaii starting next month.
The route had been suspended for 19 months due to the pandemic.
The decision to resume flights comes as the number of Korean tourists visiting Hawaii increased from around 2-hundred in January to around 1-thousand a month recently.
Passengers who test negative for COVID-19 prior to departure are exempt from quarantine upon arrival in Hawaii.
Korean Air says it will continue reviewing the resumption of suspended routes, considering the country's vaccination rate and the global pandemic situation.
