Autumn weather is bringing cooler temperatures and rain across the country. Light showers will be falling for northern central regions, including parts of Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do provinces, tonight. Rain clouds will then travel down the Peninsula overnight, and by the morning, southern parts of the country and the East Coast will see showers. This round of rainfall is forecast to last until Saturday.
As for the amount of rain, the East Coast will see 10 to 40 millimeters. Southern regions, western Gangwon-do and the Chungcheong-do provinces can expect 5 to 20 millimeters.
It will get increasingly cloudy for the morning hours nationwide. Seoul and Chuncheon will start off at 16 degrees Celsius.
Daytime highs will be 2 to 5 degrees lower than today. Seoul and Gyeongju will get up 23 degrees. Daejeon 20. Gwangju 22 degrees.
Despite the warm start to October, wintry conditions are just around the corner. On Sunday, lows in the capital will drop to 1 degree Celsius. Chances are very high that the first cold wave alert of the season will be issued.
That's all for now, and here are the weather conditions around the world.
