Son Heung-min scores late winner in S. Korea's 2-1 World Cup qualifying win over Syria

In a football World Cup qualifier, Son Heung-min came to the rescue for South Korea on Thursday evening, scoring a late goal to lead the team past Syria two to one.
Playing in Ansan, south of Seoul, Son's goal in the eighty-ninth minute gave South Korea their second straight win, following last month's one-nil victory over Lebanon.
South Korea remain second in Group A after Iran's win over the UAE.
South Korea's next game is against Iran, in Tehran, on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, in Group B, rivals Japan lost one-nil to Saudi Arabia for what was the team's second loss in three matches.
Vietnam, coached by Park Hang-seo, lost a five-goal thriller to China.
The Chinese side won three-two, scoring the final goal five minutes into stoppage time.
