Good morning. Jeju is feeling the greatest impact from super typhoon Chanthu, it has already dumped more than 600 millimeters of rain since Monday right now the typhoon is hovering near waters southwest of Jeju, slowly moving northwards and will come close to Jeju by early Friday.
Right now the rain has tapered off on Jeju but expect more heavy rain with gusty winds of 30 to 40 meters per second, strong enough to blow trains off tracks and cause accidents.
Mountainous regions on Jeju could see 100 more millimeters of rainfall along with high windsso brace for rough conditions.
Meanwhile, it looks to be another calm and hot day for upper regions under sunny skies morning temperatures are slightly lower than the same time yesterday.
The afternoon high in the capital will hit 28 degrees Celsius, Daegu and Busan at 26.
