The U.S. is still open to talks with North Korea on the complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Monday that North Korea's recent missile launches don't shake Washington's willingness to attempt diplomacy with North Korea.
She said the Biden administration's offer still stands to meet North Korea anywhere, anytime without strings attached.
However, sanctions will remain in place.
On Saturday and Sunday, North Korea launched long-range cruise missiles into the sea.
In response, the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command said the action highlights the threat to neighboring countries and the international community.
