The White House says Seoul and Washington have held the first meeting of their Ransomware Working Group, as the allies seek to diversify their alliance through cyber cooperation.
The U.S. National Security Council tweeted that the meeting displays the strength of the alliance, highlighting that international cooperation is crucial to combat cybercrimes.
The meeting follows an agreement made by the leaders of the two countries when they met in May.
During their summit, they vowed to expand the scope of their cooperation on cybercrime and ransomware attacks.
