Outgoing U.S. ambassador to S. Korea Harris bids farewell to Pres. Moon

The outgoing U.S. ambassador to South Korea, met with President Moon Jae-in.
Harry Harris told Moon that one of the highlights of his time in Seoul was being able to contribute to Pyeongyang-Washington ties.
The diplomat emphasized the South Korea-U.S. alliance will continue to grow not only in the area of defense but also in the fields of culture, science and technology.
President Moon, in return, vowed to work closely with the Biden administration to strengthen the alliance and for peace on the Peninsula, as well as other issues such as global warming and the fight against COVID-19.
