Google will invest 10 billion U.S. dollars in India over the next five-to-seven years as it looks to speed up adoption of digital services in the country.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai says the goal is to ensure India not only benefits from the next wave of innovation but leads it, adding that at this difficult time, it does so both in terms of health and economy.
Google has identified four areas of investment in India, the language-based localization of information, localized products and services, business empowerment as well as using tech and AI for improving various social sectors.
