2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics postponed one year amid COVID-19 outbreak

After weeks of will they or won't they and relentless pledges it would go ahead as planned, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games have been pushed back to 2021, in light of the COVID -19 outbreak.
In hand with the Japanese government, the International Olympic Committee conclusively announced on Tuesday that Tokyo will postpone the Olympics by a year.
The Games have been canceled before during the World Wars, but this marks the first time they've ever been postponed.
