Last June at Panmunjeom, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un reportedly made clear to President Trump that he will not make unilateral concessions in exchange for sanctions relief but will instead build an economy that's self-reliant.
This is according to a two-hour documentary on Kim's achievements in 2019, released by the North's state-run KCTV.
The film says the North Korean leader is no longer fixed on the lifting of sanctions.
It also says that in the summit with Trump last February in Hanoi he made no concessions.
Such reports are seen as an attempt to strengthen solidarity among the North Koreans as tensions rise between Pyeongyang and Washington.
