COVID-19 Pandemic

Global economy and employment are on the decline due to COVID-19. The Korean government has placed top priority in reviving the economy by providing more jobs. We sit down with Professor Yang Jun-sok of Catholic University of Korea and Professor Chai Sang-mi of Ewha Womans University to discuss the employment issue. We also connect with Lee Sang-heon, who is the first Korean to be appointed director of the International Labour Organization (ILO), to hear his assessment on employment in Korea. COVID-19 is also affecting universities. Most universities have switched to non-face-to-face lectures and students are demanding a tuition refund. In addition, this issue is affecting other universities around the world. We also connect with a foreign correspondent in Pakistan to learn more about the current situation there, where COVID-19 confirmed cases are increasing drastically.
