On May 20, high school seniors across the nation began returning to school for the first time in 80 days, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a recent survey, 7 out of 10 Korean parents said they were planning to homeschool their kids even with the return of regular classes. Students in other grades will also begin attending school gradually starting on May 27. We talk more about this with Dr. Tan Hyun-kyung, Internist from MizMedi Women’s Hospital and Professor Ahn Mi-lee from Hanyang University in the studio, as well as Dr. Kirsty Short from Queensland University to learn more about the situation in Australia where schools have also reopened. With the COVID-19 outbreak also worsening in the continent of Africa, we connect to Kim Yo-han, a Korean national residing in Kenya, to get his first-hand accounts of the situation on the ground there.
