Format: 20 x 30 minute lifestyle series featuring foreigners living in Seoul
Hosts: Erik Moynihan and Tiffany Needham
As of 2014, there are more than 280,000 foreigners living in Seoul with the number steadily growing. Many come here for different reasons; and as they settle in a new country, they’re met with unique challenges and welcomed surprises. This series follows two successful expats, Erik Moynihan and Tiffany Needham, as they discover their own community and get to know the city they now call “home”.
The program is part travel series, part cultural documentary, and the aim is to share the stories of interesting expats while showing the city through their eyes. We intertwine lighthearted and fun discovery with frank discussions about what it’s really like to put down roots abroad.
For each episode, Erik and Tiffany will profile one to two dynamic and compelling individuals within the expat community. They work in industries such as fashion, music, food, politics, and business. They work hard, but they also play hard too. They’ve made the effort to explore beyond the streets of Itaewon, embracing Korean culture and what it has to offer.
Each episode will feature a theme or topic that both individuals share in common, e.g. food, art, music, fitness, or family. However, our show differs from most Korean media in that we aren’t interested in covering the places that are the most popular. We want to dig deeper. To uncover the places and people that are the best kept secrets or those things new to the community that need a voice.
