World Environment Report: Diplomat Talks on Climate Change – 18
A historic agreement was signed at the COP21 held in 2015. It was the Paris Agreement, endorsed by more than 190 countries and the EU, that brought the whole world together for the first time amid this climate crisis. France as the host country has also come up with diverse policies to implement the Paris Agreement since then. Through the France Relance plan, France is seeking to promote green growth and boost its economy that has been on a downturn since COVID19, as well as expand low-carbon energy through its nuclear waste management know-hows. This week, we'll meet with the Ambassador of France to S. Korea, Philippe Lefort, to talk about the time the Paris Agreement was signed as well as what France has been doing in terms of climate action since then.
