Finland leading the circular economy

World Environment Report: Diplomat Talks on Climate Change – 12
Finland has always been a frontrunner in taking climate action. It was the first country to adopt a carbon tax that is applied to the use of fossil fuel. The current administration of Prime Minister Sanna Marin who took office in 2019 has declared Finland's goals to be carbon neutral by 2035. It has also announced the "roadmap to a circular economy" to establish a model that minimizes damage to the environment and accelerates carbon neutrality. The idea is to maximize actions by governments, local municipalities, companies, and individuals, to encourage a "green transition" of the economy. This week, we'll meet with the Ambassador of Finland to S. Korea, Pekka Metso, to talk about Finland's bold and persistent actions to protect our planet.
