Korea-Denmark Climate Cooperation

World Environment Report: Diplomat Talks on Climate Change – 11
"Green partnership" is a keyword when it comes to describing the diplomatic relations between Korea and Denmark. In 2011, the two nations shifted into a new paradigm in their diplomatic ties, entering into a "Green Growth Alliance" in 2011. Since then over the last decade, they have been consistently building their green partnership in all areas including both public and private sectors. In May this year, the two nations elevated their ties to a "comprehensive green strategic partnership," further strengthening their bond. Both Korea and Denmark are accelerating their green energy development and are promoting green growth. They are also working together to establish a green agenda for the international society through P4G. This week, we'll meet with the Ambassador for Climate Change of Denmark, Tomas Anker Christensen, who recently visited Korea to attend a discussion on green partnership, as well as the Danish Ambassador to Korea, Einar Jensen, to talk about how exactly these two countries are cooperating to tackle this global task of climate change.
