20 years have passed since the two Koreas adopted the June 15 South-North Joint Declaration, which came on the heels of the historic, first inter-Korean summit in June, 2000. We take a look back at this important date and glimpse into the future of inter-Korean relations, now locked in a state of deep freeze amid the COVID-19 pandemic as well as tensions over the flying of propaganda leaflets by South Korean civic groups and North Korea’s severing of cross-border communication lines.
