As one of the Moon administration’s overriding policies, it aims to pursue mutually beneficial cooperation and elevate relations with ASEAN and India on par with the nation’s traditional great power neighbors – the U.S. China, Japan and Russia. We delve deeper into the importance of the policy with the growth potential of ASEAN and India and the current status of economic cooperation between Korea and these nations.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Korea-ASEAN ties, Secretary-General Lee also shares his vision for the future of the Korea-ASEAN relationship, strengthened by the New Southern Policy.
