A young man wearing a sign that reads “Job Hunting” in Chinese characters in the middle of Myeongdong in Seoul... Capturing the hardships of a young breadwinner, exhausted by social circumstances but striving to earn a living, the piece soon became the late photographer Limb Eung-sik’s iconic piece.
His retrospective exhibition featuring his early works taken between 1946 and 1960 is on display at the Gallery SPACE22 in Gangnam-gu, Seoul to once again shed light on his pioneering artistry. The late photographer said, “Photos are a record of human life and truth.”
Check out the records of human life and truth he captured 70 years ago through his lens.

To mark the upcoming Railroad Day on June 26th, we meet Jeong Moon-young, director of the Railroad Museum.
For over 30 years, the facility located in the city of Uiwang, Gyeonggi-do Province, has been excavating and holding exhibitions of railway-related relics. With a stroll into the museum full of the history of Korea’s railway, we take a look at how far our nation has come in terms of making technological improvements in the train tracks.
Director Jeong tells us his dream of seeing the Inter-Korean railways connecting again and his prediction of the future of the Korean railroad.

Korea’s quarantine authorities newly implemented the ‘QR code entry log’ system on June 10th to prevent COVID-19 infections from accelerating. It is a method developed in response to the challenges the government faced while contact tracing the patients when the cluster infections started emerging at nightclubs in Itaewon last month.
Authorities explain that the QR code-based digital registration system allows them to quickly track the infection routes, making the contact tracing procedure simpler and quicker.
We visit some of the facilities already using the system to see how it works and listen to what people think about the introduction of the digital entry log.
