The main purpose of subway trains is to bring people to destinations far away swiftly, but the metro now serves something more meaningful than just helping commuters jump start their busy days. A train at the Shinbundang Line has newly opened to honor the war veterans in this memorial month of June, which marks the 70th anniversary of the Korean War. The train cars are separated into two groups, each representing themes of ‘patriots’ and ‘independence.’ We got on the train to remind ourselves of what it means to defend our country and met several passengers who told us what their thoughts on the exhibition.
