The People Fighting on the Frontline

Have you been worrying about the wellbeing of frontline healthcare workers, especially in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province? Doctors shed sweat and toil inside their heavy protective suits that further wear down their already exhausted bodies, while nurses put bandages on their foreheads and noses to prevent abrasion from prolonged use of face shields and goggles. Plus, nursing officers from the Korea Armed Forces Nursing Academy graduated earlier than originally scheduled to provide assistance on the scene. We take you to hear the stories of the heroes battling against the novel coronavirus to save lives!

From Infection to Fully Recovered

Jeong Gi-hun (pseudonym), aged 58, was the third person to be confirmed to have contracted COVID-19 in Incheon. Although he had been in contact with 23 people including family members and doctors before testing positive, all of them, fortunately, tested negative. This was because he took various precautionary measures to avoid spreading the disease, if he indeed had it. He wore a mask and sanitary gloves even at home, in addition to practicing social distancing such as walking to the hospital instead of using public transportation. He even kept track of his symptoms and daily activities, and the 38-page diary now presents excellent guidelines for us as a society to better deal with the current situation. Join us this week and learn about the exemplary case of beating COVID-19.
