The K-Food Craze in Hanoi
When it comes to Hallyu (lit. Korean wave), most people think of Korean dramas and K-pop music, but in recent years, something else has been on the rise, and it's Korean cuisine. K-food is also captivating the taste buds of the people of Vietnam, which is evident in its capital, Hanoi. A Korean bakery chain has recently launched a new store there, and in less than a week of its grand opening, it began attracting quite the crowd with delicious baked goods that are made based on the recipes developed in Korea. At the famous night market, a Korean street food booth run by a young Vietnamese businessman is thriving, with the rising popularity of tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cake) and gimbap (rice, veggies and other ingredients rolled in dried laver). There is also a Korean barbecue restaurant in town that's considered the ultimate eatery because of its authentic feel and quality food that's reasonably priced. We take you to Hanoi to witness the K-food craze!

Old-fashioned, Not out of Style
Ikseon-dong in Jongno-gu became the last place in Seoul to be designated as a hanok (traditional Korean house) village. It is a burgeoning neighborhood that draws visitors with its old-fashioned look and air of nostalgia. Once you are there, young people in clothing inspired by the early 1900s fashion style will instantly catch your eye. And we will take you to the clothing rental shop where some of them created their vintage-inspired look! There is a building that looks like an old, rundown hotel on the outside, but when you step inside, you will be surprised by its vintage-inspired interior design. The hotel building, erected in 1979, has been renovated into a café, and you will easily spot people in clothes that perfectly suit its “Enlightenment Period" theme. We take you to Ikseon-dong, where you feel like you have traveled back in time!
