The Seoul Fringe Festival is a celebration of indie arts where people who create, enjoy and appreciate art come together as one. A total of 56 troupes of young and talented artists from a wide spectrum of field including theater, dance, music, performance art, video art and visual art took part at the festival this year. A video of sensational Korean K-pop band BTS savoring tteokbokki went viral on YouTube, garnering world-wide attention and interest in one of the popular Korean dishes, tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes), along with bibimbap (rice bowl with vegetables) and bulgogi (grilled beef or pork).
