The Biden administrations’ strategy to counter and isolate China is expected to expand as a collective initiative of the Group of Seven. On the first day of the G7 summit, the members launched the Build Back Better World initiative to develop a global infrastructure. It’s a counter-project to China’s Belt and Road initiative. It has addressed China’s human rights abuses and ways to globally distribute the COVID-19 vaccines. Watchers project the U.S.-China dispute is set to expand into a rivalry between the Western nations and China. In response to the outcome of the summit, China warned that the time when a small group of countries decided the fate of the world has long gone.
