Episode 46
Abe Administration faces trouble

A series of issues lies ahead for the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
The conservative leader is slammed for major internal hiccups, such as falsifying statistics and financial documents, and having his cabinet members make insulting remarks to its people. Abe’s approval ratings dropped and is losing support for his plan to amend the Constitution. Tokyo frequently utilized conflict with Seoul to turn the ratings up, but the recent WTO ruling in favor of South Korea on Fukushima seafood import has back-fired against the administration. Local sentiment indicates uncertainty of Abe’s fourth term as a ruling party leader. In this episode, we dive deeper into factors resulting Abe cabinet to stumble.
Some other global stories on the list include the arrest of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, the latest update on Kim Jong-nam murder case, and Chinese people’s reaction to Alibaba founder’s Weibo post on working culture.
