▶Carbon Reduction Plans for Coping with Climate Change

Various disasters like heat waves, typhoons and earthquakes have hit many parts of the world this year. According to a report by the UNISDR, climate-related disasters have caused $2.25 tril. in damage over the past two decades. The international community has agreed to sign the Paris Climate Agreement in 2015 to cope with climate change and maintain the Earth's temperature rise below 2°C.
Against this backdrop, the Korea Carbon Forum was held in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, to urge the implementation of the Paris Agreement and to reduce carbon emissions, which are considered the main cause of the rise in global temperatures.
Korea is considered a role model for developing countries in dealing with climate change.
