Tajikistan is a Central Asian country that carries the history of the ancient Silk Road and has high growth potential with geographic advantages and abundant natural resources. Tajikistan’s major holiday, Sada, comes every year around this time at the end of January. It is similar to the Korean Lunar New Year as it wishes for a plentiful new year. We will take a look at the foods, traditions, customs, clothing for Sada as well as the Tajik thought of unity and brotherly love, and their hope for abundance from nature through this holiday. Also, we will hear from Ambassador Sharifzoda, who has been acting as a bridgehead between the two countries, on ways to promote bilateral relations including the opening of a new direct plane route.
