RYU Ki-young is a professor of music at the Royal University of Fine Arts in Cambodia.
He graduated with M.A. and Ph.D. from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and then became an opera singer.
He then moved to Cambodia, where he served as the conductor of the Cambodia Royal Choir. In Cambodia, he also led significant music projects, including the Cambodia Classical Music Festival. He was in charge of planning and carrying out the festival, which also served as a memorial concert for the late King of Cambodia.
Through leading a friendship concert, he creates a mutual bond between Korean and Cambodia. We hear from professor RYU Ki-young, on today’s Heart-to-Heart.
