Painter KIM Young-hwa’s material for artworks has been about golf – a sport that connects the body and mind in one.
Her works of art have been beloved by a great number of people through her 56 solo exhibitions held in many different parts of the world, including New York, Hong Kong, Sydney, Malaysia and Korea.
In 2015, she received the best artist award from the Asian Center Commission in Shanghai, China. An influential artist, she was selected as the Proud Figure in 2019 and received the Grand Prize of Korean Art Development. She also received attention in the artistic circle for producing the standard portrait of King Muryeong, who ruled in Baekje, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea.
