Painter Park Dae-sung, also known by his artist name Sosan, is the master of Korean painting, who has captivated the world with Korean aesthetics. Well-known for a modern reinterpretation of ink-and-wash painting, he currently makes his artwork in Gyeongju, Korea.
His major works include paintings of Jangbaek Waterfall and Seongsan Sunrise Peak, both of which were featured at the historical scene of the Inter-Korean Summit. Not long ago, the Metropolitan Museum of Art displayed his painting of Guryong Waterfall titled, 'Nine Dragon Falls on Diamond Mountains,' on a Korean exhibition, attracting many visitors from Korea and abroad.
With his distinct painting style, painter Park Dae-sung has become a prominent figure among Korean painters. Heart-to-Heart meets with painter Park Dae-sung to hear about his life stories and his world of art.
