The first Korean violinist to win the Queen Elisabeth Competition, one of the three major competitions in the world, Lim Ji-young is in the spotlight of the world of classical music. She caught many people's eyes by winning the competition that set her apart as a violinist who has innate talent and passion.
Last January, the documentary film "Finalist," which contains the story of how she won the final round of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, was released and received a fervent response.
She is taking part in several national events this year as Korea's top artist. For instance, she was there for the concert hosted by the King of Belgium back in March and the celebration event of the first anniversary of Panmunjom Declaration in April.
