Kim Chan-joong is the CEO and principal architect in charge of the architect firm The System Lab and he is also a professor in the Department of Architecture at Kyung Hee University. He was invited to the 10th Venice Biennale held in 2006 and was selected as one of the 6 young Asian architects to take note of. He is an acclaimed architect who gains recognition in and outside of Korea. He worked on the white, curved office building located on the northern end of the Hannam Bridge. He also worked on many buildings including the Seoul Fashion Store, the Design Strategy and Research Center in Yangsan city in Gyeongsangnam-do Province, the Hangang River pedestrian tunnel project and many more. CEO Kim Chan-joong captures everyone's attention with unique construction that maximizes the beauty of curves. He recently constructed a hotel on Ulleungdo Island and this hotel won England's Wallpaper Design Award for Best New Hotel in 2019.
