'Hunmin jeong-eum Haerye' was chosen as the Memory of the World by UNESCO in 1997. The National Hangeul Museum located in the Yongsan-gu district of Seoul has
a vast collection of works revolving around Hangeul. This museum informs its visitors about Hangeul through its systematic collection, preservation of Hangeul materials, permanent exhibitions, as well as special exhibitions.
