The food-assistance branch of the United Nations - The World Food Programme - is the world’s leading humanitarian organization which strives to achieve Zero Hunger in countries around the world where there are people in hunger. The WFP works in 83 nations saving lives and changing lives. It leads the world in frontline food assistance in times of emergency, fight for better nutrition, and strengthen communities to brave shock and disaster. The Korea Office of WFP opened in July 2011 in Seoul and has been delivering an important role in supporting many operations of WFP’s country offices around the world. We will sit down with Mr. Hyoung-joon Lim, the head of World Food Programme Korea Office to learn more about this organization and its goals.
