Foreign Correspondents Ep.256
Korea’s model of living with the virus

The Korean government is considering a shift in its response to COVID-19 starting November, by which 70 percent of the nation’s population will have been vaccinated. With infections showing no signs of slowing down, Korea is expected to seek a gradual return to normalcy, rather than a sudden change. One of the factors driving this shift is the severe damage done to small businesses by the prolonged pandemic. Korea is not the only country preparing for a transition to living with the virus. Denmark, Sweden and Finland plan to ease restrictions, while Japan is planning to transition to the phase of living with the virus from October. In this week’s edition of Foreign Correspondents, we sit down with our panel of journalists to discuss how countries are changing their approach to COVID-19.
