Arirang TV's "Foreign Correspondents", a news and current-affairs program on local topics from the foreign media perspective, is marking 100th episode. Since it first hit the airwaves on October, 2016, the most frequently-mentioned keyword on the program has been "North Korea". The year 2018 has seen the thawing of long-simmering inter-Korean tensions, which has resulted in growing whispers of possible reunification. The first cross-border family reunions in three years took place in August, while the two Koreas also fielded a joint team for the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games. According to a recent survey conducted in South Korea by the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Tourism on July 31, 8 out of 10 respondents were of the opinion that reunification was a distinct possibility. So are we ready for a united Korean Peninsula? What preparations must be undertaken? This week, on our 100th episode of "Foreign Correspondents", we sit down with an enlarged panel of 6 journalists to discuss various issues related to reunification.
