Korea-Japan Wartime Sexual Slavery Agreement's Secret Deal
Secret deal reveals two years later
Recently, a new investigative report came to light, shaking the diplomatic relation between Korea and Japan. On December 27, 2017, the wartime sexual slavery agreement TF revealed that the Korea-Japan wartime sexual slavery agreement in 2015 had been made behind closed doors. Looking at the secret deals in the agreement, issues over removal of the 'Statue of Peace', the term 'sex slavery', and 'irreversible' were mentioned. The day after the report was announced, President Moon Jae-in declared that the 2015 wartime sexual slavery agreement cannot be accepted. Meanwhile, the Japanese government stated that there won't be a renegotiation, and the agreement will go on as previously agreed by the previous administration. Will the 2015 wartime sexual slavery agreement be nulled or changed?
Policies of the Park Geun-hye administration gets reviewed
In 2015, both Korea and Japan agreed that the wartime sexual slavery agreement is both final and irreversible. At the time, the public showed anger over the agreement. With that, the Moon administration created a task force in July of last year, looking into the agreement. And two years later, a secret deal was revealed to the public. Just like that, since the Moon administration took over, a number of policies from the previous administration are now being reviewed or investigated. A day after the secret deal over the wartime sexual slavery agreement was announced, issues over the shutting of the Kaesong Industrial Complex came to light, as well. As issues over the foreign diplomacy and national security during the Park administration are revealed,... we'll discuss in depth, the issues over the secret deal of the wartime sexual slavery agreement.
