Some suggest Abenomics should be credited for this surplus, but others say the country's aging population has more to do with the pick-up. Other countries in Europe are facing more challenging conditions. One in four youth in France is looking for jobs, prompting newly elected President Emmanuel Macron to propose reforms on multiple fronts.
