During the Korean War, residents of Hamgyeong-do Province fled to Sokcho, Gangwon-do Province, so that they could return to their homes quickly once the war ended. But 66 years have passed and the endless wait continues. We visit the site of the cultural festival for displaced people, where they took a look at the pain of division and ruminated on the hope for reunification.

A few years ago, the Korea Forest Service surveyed 1,200 citizens asking about the tree that represents Korea. 62.3% of the respondents said the pine tree, making it No. 1. We learn about the pine tree, the tree that is most loved by South Koreans and whose meaning North Korea puts heavy emphasis on, making it the spiritual anchor of the entire Korean people.
