Incheon Harbor's leap to become a port of call for cruise liners
Incheon Harbor is undergoing a transformation. According to the Incheon Port Authority it expects to see more than 100 cruise liners come through the Incheon Port by the end of this year following the first cruise liner which docked at Incheon in March.
This will increase tourism in the area attracting at least 150-thousand visitors with an economic effect of almost US$70 million.
The Incheon Port is revamping itself into becoming the cruise hub of Northeast Asia by building facilities to accommodate influx of tourists.
We explore the Incheon Port as a venue for tourists and highlight the city’s plan for development.

Japan's 'Abenomics' represented by a weaker yen is slowly losing ground. Japan has described the 'Abenomics' policy as a measure to boost its domestic market, however the international community has been critical and losing patience, while in Japan people are experiencing the side effects of the economic policy through rising import prices and interest rate hike.
Korea's Finance Minister Hyun Oh Seok has been a harsh critic of Abenomics ever since he took office. But some experts point to concerns that a sudden fall out of Abenomics will have a negative effect on the Korean economy.

North Korea
North Korean motive for controlling defectors?
Young North Korean defectors, mostly orphans, also referred to as flower-swallows who fled their country to wander around China were in the process of escaping to South Korea when they were forced back to North Korea.
North Korean authorities sent in a plane to collect the defectors in a 007 like operation.
What will happen to these young defectors?
In some cases defectors residing in South Korea return to North Korea which experts believe could be the result of continuous threat and pressure to return.
