This week, we've invited young piano maestro Son Yeol-eum in the studio to get an inner view of her life and career.
Famous for her graceful interpretations and versatile, thrilling performances, Son Yeol-eum gained international acclaim with her historic accomplishment at the prestigious International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2011 – 2nd Prize, Best Chamber Concerto Performance, and Best Performance of the Commissioned Work. Even Russian Conductor Valery Gergiev praised the pianist saying, "Son Yeol-eum, at such a young age, seems to have mastered what took me my entire life to finally understand."
Son Yeol-eum is known as a "young artist who never stops challenging herself" and is truly living up to that title this year; she released her first album in 4 years called "Modern Times," took the challenge of becoming the vice artistic director of The Pyeongchang Music Festival and School, and held a national concert tour with the NOVUS Quartet.
So join us on "The Innerview" this week to meet Son Yeol-eum, who will share her journey and genuine dreams as a world-class pianist.
