The powerful vocalist KIM Tae-woo started to dream of becoming a singer when he was in fourth grade, but due to his parents' objection, he didn't follow his passion until later in his teen years. At the age of 17, he made a demo tape with the help of a friend, and sent it to PARK Jin-young, the head of JYP Entertainment. JYP, who was planning to launch a boy band, recruited KIM Tae-woo as the fifth and final member.
After debuting in 1999, he gained immense popularity as a member of god, who gained the nickname, the "national group," due to their fame and popularity among people of all ages. In 2005, the group tentatively suspended their activities after releasing their 7th album, and KIM Tae-woo decided to return to stage as a solo artist in the following year. While the other members shifted their attention to acting and business among other fields, the main vocalist of the group kept following a single path in music.
Since then, KIM Tae-woo has firmly established himself as one of the most celebrated solo artists in Korea. As a veteran singer, who has been in the industry, he's now running his own talent management agency and helping aspiring singers realize their dreams.
