With the same expression, gestures and facial features, the two mermaids boast breathtaking harmony. They are Park Hyun-sun and Park Hyun-ha, siblings and bronze medalists in duet synchronized swimming at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. Currently they are the sole members of Korea's National Synchronized Swimming Team. Although dejected by the public's indifference to their sport, the two swimmers continue toward their dreams, fighting against their own limits.
Synchronized swimming is an artistic sport that combines music, dancing and athletics. It's also a sport that most fully expresses the profound beauty of feminity. When competing in this sport, swimmers must never lose their smiles, even while they are struggling for breath underwater. But what's more important is teamwork. Being sisters, Hyun-sun and Hyun-ha trust and rely on one another, fighting against all odds without giving up.
An opportunity to practice for their dream competition, the 2012 London Olympics, presents itself as the 14th FINA World Championships in Shanghai. Their goal is to enter the top 12 at the preliminaries. Will their fantastic teamwork shine again this time?
